I love this name !!!! And it suits little Jax so well ….. As soon as Jax’s Dad Austin lifted baby Jax from the car after travelling in from the family farm near Ouyen the first thing I noticed was Jax’s hair !!!! It is amazing and as dad handed him over to me for my first cuddle I told Jax we were about to have the best day and we so did !!!

Baby Jax is the first grandchild on both sides of the family and first born for new parents Austin and Gemma and they are such amazing parents already. We missed Jax’s newborn shoot because of the covid lockdowns but I think these images just show off Jax’s personality so well at 10 weeks new.

This little newborn shoot felt so comfortable right from the beginning and it was only when we were half way through that we made the connection of Jax and his great Grandmother Dorothy !!!

Austin was proudly telling me the story behind the hand spun Beanie made by his Great Auntie from Merino wool which came from a family farm in Benambar’s High Country when I thought I’d heard this story before. Id heard something so very familiar while working with a client for Mildura Living Magazine and my clients name was Dorothy Brown …… Jax’s Great Grandmother !!!! How beautiful to have photographed this gorgeous little family and also generations of it. I so love my job and the people who I meet and their stories that are told and captured along the way.

Jax you are a true country boy at heart and it shines through your gorgeous blue eyes, what adventures you will have. I feel blessed to have cuddled you and captured the beginning of your life’s journey.

Please , Please , keep that cheeky smile and that gorgeous hair ,
